Trailblazers Wordmark Logo

The Utah Tech Trailblazers have a long and storied history in collegiate sports, and their wordmark logo has been part of that story since the beginning. The original logo was designed in 1965 by former athletic director Dr. Paul Smith, who wanted to create a unique identity for the school's teams. The first version featured an "U" with two stars above it, representing the University of Technology (UT) and its commitment to excellence in athletics.

Over time, this initial design evolved into what we now know as the current Utah Tech Trailblazers wordmark logo - featuring an updated U-shaped starburst with three additional stars around it - which was unveiled during Homecoming festivities at UT’s campus on October 5th, 1992. This new look immediately resonated with fans across all levels of fandom – from alumni to students – becoming one of college sports' most iconic logos over time!

Since then, there have been several minor tweaks made here and there, such as adding more detail or texture within each element or changing up colors slightly for different uses like apparel designs or special events branding purposes, but overall, staying true to its classic roots while still being able adaptable enough keep up with modern trends without losing any recognition value whatsoever! As you can see throughout these changes, though, one thing remains constant: no matter how many times it is tweaked & adjusted over the years—the unmistakable silhouette shape & bold style remain accurate in every single iteration thus far—which only further adds another layer of legacy behind this timeless symbol our beloved university’s proud tradition success both on off-field alike!!
