Volunteers Alternate Logo
The Tennessee Volunteers have a long and storied history of logos that represent the school’s spirit. The first logo was created in 1965 when the university redesigned its athletics program to reflect its commitment to excellence. This original design featured an orange "T" and white block lettering inside a circle with two stars representing state pride.
In 1992, the university updated its logo to feature an interlocking “UT” in bright orange on a white background which has become one of its most recognizable symbols today. In 2009, they introduced another alternate version featuring three stars around the outside of the shield that represented past traditions while also embracing new ones as well as paying tribute to Lady Vols teams at UT Knoxville campus by adding an additional star for them specifically within this design element.
More recently in 2017, they unveiled yet another alternate logo which included some slight tweaks such as replacing one star with two stripes symbolizing strength and power while still maintaining all other elements from previous designs including traditional colors like navy blue along with vibrant oranges & whites throughout each iconography piece used here too! All these changes have served not only to create more visual interest but also to keep up-to-date on modern trends so fans can continue enjoying what makes Tennessee Volunteers great no matter where or how it appears!
