Panthers Primary Logo
The Eastern Illinois Panthers have a long and storied history in the NCAA, dating back to 1895. Their primary logo has been an integral part of that history since its inception. The current iteration of the Panther logo was introduced in 2007, but its roots trace all the way back to 1929 when it was first used on football helmets.
At first glance, one may not realize how much symbolism is packed into this simple design. The Panther head itself is a traditional representation of strength and power – two qualities that embody what it means to be an EIU athlete or fan! It's also surrounded by a circular shape which symbolizes unity and togetherness among students, faculty & staff alike; something that’s especially important for any college team looking for success both on-and-off the field/court/etc.
In addition to these visual cues, there are also some hidden meanings behind certain colors used in this iconic emblem as well: Blue represents loyalty & trustworthiness while Black stands for determination & focus – both essential traits needed if you want your team to compete at their highest level each season! Finally Red serves as a reminder of courage throughout tough times no matter what adversity comes your way - so don't forget about those timeless words “Go Panthers!" every time you see them displayed proudly around campus or beyond!
Ultimately though regardless of what shade they use (or who wears them) Eastern Illinois' Primary Logo will always remain synonymous with excellence within NCAA circles thanks largely due to its unique combination of features highlighted here today… Let’s goooooo!!
