Hokies Alternate Logo

The Virginia Tech Hokies have a long and storied history of alternate logos. The first logo used by the school dates back to 1896 when it was known as the Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College. This logo featured an orange-and-maroon shield with two crossed swords underneath it, symbolizing strength and courage.
