Terrier Wordmark Logo

The Boston Terrier is a beloved breed of dog that has been around for over 100 years. It's also the mascot of several universities and colleges, most notably Boston University, which adopted it in 1922. The iconic wordmark logo used by the school was designed shortly thereafter and has become one of the most recognizable symbols associated with college sports today.

In its early days, the logo featured an image of a terrier wearing a bowler hat as well as two crossed bones below it to symbolize strength and courage - attributes often attributed to this feisty little canine companion. Over time though, changes were made to make it more modernized while still retaining its original spirit: The bowler hat became less prominent while other elements such as stars were added in order to give it greater visual appeal. Today’s version features two large Bs intertwined at the center with smaller stars surrounding them on both sides; this design remains largely unchanged since its introduction nearly 100 years ago!

As far back as 1917 when football teams from different schools began competing against each other under what would eventually become known as NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association), many teams have adopted their own unique logos or mascots that represent their respective institutions - including those featuring our four-legged friend: The Boston Terrier!
