Bobcats Alternate Logo
The Texas State Bobcats have a long and proud history of success in the NCAA. As one of the most successful teams in college athletics, it's no surprise that they also have an interesting history when it comes to their alternate logo designs. Over the years, Texas State has used several different logos as part of its branding strategy for various sports programs and campaigns.
One of the earliest examples is from 1973 when they unveiled their first-ever alternate logo featuring a cartoon-style bobcat head with ‘Texas State’ written underneath it in white letters on a navy blue background. This design was used until 1985 before being replaced by another iconic design – this time featuring two crossed sabers over an orange starburst shape with ‘Bobcats’ written across both swords and ‘Texas State University’ below them all on a black background.
This second version was used until 1993 before undergoing some minor changes such as swapping out the orange starburst for red stripes or adding more elements like stars around its edges to give it more depth and texture; however, these alterations only lasted for three years before reverting back to its original form once again from 1996 onwards up until now!
The latest iteration came about in 2013 when they decided to add some modern flair by introducing new colors into their existing palette including yellow & grey alongside traditional navy blue & white which gave rise to what we know today: A fierce-looking bobcat head surrounded by multiple stars inside an oval frame with bold lettering beneath reading "TexasStateUniversity" - all set against vibrant shades that help capture attention wherever seen!
It's clear that throughout each decade since inception, there has been careful consideration given towards how best to represent themselves visually while still staying true enough so fans can recognize them instantly without confusion – something which is truly admirable considering how much competition exists within collegiate athletics nowadays!
