Florida Gulf Coast Eagles
A left-facing eagle’s head atop tilted stylized initials “FGCU” in white with green and blue highlights. The blue and gold were changed, green remained the same, and light blue was eliminated. The gradient in the beak was removed. The eye was inverted, so the pupil was colored, and the eyeball was white. The shadowing around the eye and the feathers at the end of the head were refined. The FGCU letters had their borders and outlined refined as well.
Eagles Alternate Logo
The Florida Gulf Coast Eagles have a long and storied history when it comes to their alternate logos. The team has been using the same design since its inception in 1997, but over the years they have made subtle changes that make each logo unique.
In 2003, the team introduced a new look that featured an eagle with wings outstretched against a blue sky backdrop. This design was used for several seasons until 2008 when they switched to another version featuring an eagle head set atop two crossed swords on either side of it. This logo was used until 2013 before being replaced by yet another variation – this time featuring two eagles facing each other with one perched atop a shield adorned with stars and stripes from top-to-bottom.
Most recently, in 2018 the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles unveiled their latest alternate logo which features three eagles flying together above waves crashing against rocks below them - symbolizing strength and unity within their fan base as well as throughout Southwest Florida where they call home!
This evolution of designs shows just how important having an iconic visual identity is for any sports organization or university; not only does it help create recognition among fans but also serves as motivation for players who wear these uniforms every day while representing their school proudly on game days!
