Buffaloes Primary Logo
The Colorado Buffaloes have had a long and storied history, dating back to 1890 when the school was first founded. The athletic teams of the university have been known as the Buffaloes since 1934, but their primary logo has gone through many changes over time. In this essay, we will look at how that logo has evolved throughout its history.
The original design for the Colorado Buffaloes' primary logo featured an aggressive buffalo head with horns pointing upwards in a menacing fashion. This design lasted from 1934 until 1967 when it was replaced by a more modernized version featuring two buffalos facing each other on either side of an oval shape containing “CU” in bold lettering between them. This new design remained unchanged until 1987 when it was updated again to include some subtle shading and color variations which gave it more depth and dimensionality than before while still keeping true to its roots as being instantly recognizable for fans of all ages across generations alike.
In 2002, yet another update came about which saw even further refinements made including adding small stars around both sides of CU within the oval shape along with making minor adjustments such as increasing font size slightly or changing up colors here or there - all done in order to keep up with ever-evolving trends within collegiate sports branding landscape. To this day, the current iteration remains largely similar albeit having seen numerous tweaks since then too; thus ensuring that despite changing times, Colorado's iconic Buffalo emblem stays relevant while also staying true to its classic style & appeal.
The PAC 12 League Team Logo Battle is a great way for Colorado Buffaloes sports fans to show their support and enthusiasm for the team. With an array of logos from all across the conference, it's sure to be a fierce competition and one that will leave no doubt as to who has the best logo in college football!
