Rebels Primary Logo
The Ole Miss Rebels have a long and proud history of sporting excellence, and their primary logo has been an integral part of that success. This iconic symbol was first used in 1947 when the school adopted its current name, which is derived from the nickname for the University of Mississippi students—“Rebels.” The original design featured a Confederate soldier carrying two flags: one representing the state flag of Mississippi with 13 stars to represent each seceding state; and another featuring a white star on blue background with “Ole Miss” written across it.
Since then, there have been several variations on this classic logo over time but many elements remain constant throughout all versions; most notable is the use of red for both text color as well as outlining or shading around certain parts. Additionally, no matter what variation appears on uniforms or merchandise today they all feature some combination between those two flags mentioned above – either side-by-side or overlapping each other in some way shape form!
Today's version includes more modern touches such as bold lettering along with additional details like laurel leaves surrounding it - adding even more strength to this timeless emblem while still retaining its historical significance within college athletics culture at large! Whether you're cheering them on during football season or just want to show your support by wearing apparel adorned with their famous crest – everyone knows that Ole Miss Rebels are here and stay!
The Ole Miss Rebels are sure to be excited for the upcoming SEC League Team Logo Battle! This battle will pit each of the 14 teams in the conference against one another to determine who has the best logo. With fierce competition from other top-tier schools, it's sure to be an exciting spectacle that all Rebel fans should keep their eyes on!
