Tigers Wordmark Logo
The Memphis Tigers wordmark logo has a long and storied history. The current version of the logo was unveiled in 2013, but its roots go back much further than that. The original design for the Memphis Tigers dates all the way back to 1925 when it first appeared on team uniforms and stationery. Since then, there have been various iterations of this iconic mark with slight changes made over time to keep up with changing trends in college sports branding.
The most recent update came in 2013 when a new look was introduced by designer Todd Radom as part of an overall rebranding effort for University Athletics at Memphis. This redesign featured a bolder typeface along with some minor adjustments such as adding more curves around certain letters like “M” and “T” which gave it a more modern feel while still maintaining its classic roots from 1925. It also included two additional color options (orange & black) which expanded upon what had previously only been available in blue & gray versions since its inception nearly 90 years prior
Today, this updated version is used across all athletic teams at the University of Memphis including football, basketball, baseball/softball, and other sports programs throughout campus life both online via digital media outlets or offline through merchandise like t-shirts or hats worn by fans during games or out on town representing their school pride! With such an enduring legacy behind it – one can easily see why this particular logo has become so beloved amongst students and faculty alike who proudly wear these colors wherever they may go!
