Colonels Alternate Logo
Regarding college sports, there is no shortage of great logos and symbols representing each team. The Nicholls State Colonels are no exception. As one of the oldest universities in Louisiana, the Colonels have had a long history with their logo designs and alternate logos throughout their NCAA career.
The primary logo for Nicholls State has been consistent since its inception in 1948: an interlocking “NS” inside a circle with “Nicholls” written around it, along with two crossed sabers below it, all set against a yellow background. This classic design has remained unchanged, but it has also had several variations on this theme and some unique alternate logos over the years.
One example was from 2008 when they introduced an updated version of their original crest featuring more detailed illustrations, including 4 stars above the lettering representing excellence and achievement within athletics at Nicholls State University while maintaining its traditional look overall. Additionally, another variation was created during this period, which featured red accents instead of yellow to give off more vibrant colors that would stand out better on uniforms or other merchandise sold by fans or alumni alike!
Another notable change came in 2011 when they unveiled yet another new take on their classic emblem - this one featuring bolder lines and sharper edges, giving off even stronger vibes associated with strength & power associated closely tied to athletics programs found at many collegiate levels today! Finally, back in 2014 saw, they brought back some elements from earlier versions, like adding four stars again (this time near the top) plus incorporating the school's mascot, "Colonel Tillou," into the center portion too, so he could be seen clearly whenever people saw any type items related specifically him/herself as well university-wide branding efforts in the future moving forward into future seasons ahead...
Overall these various iterations demonstrate how much thought goes into creating memorable visuals for teams across all sports leagues – especially those who have been around longer, like Nichols State University! Whether you're looking for something traditional or modern twist, chances are good that there will always be something available to show your favorite support program, whether cheering on the sidelines attending games online purchasing gear to wear proudly wherever you may go next... Go, Colonel!
