Panthers Alternate Logo
The Georgia State Panthers have a long and storied history of success in NCAA athletics. As one of the oldest teams in the nation, they've had plenty of time to develop their own unique logos and branding over the years. While their primary logo is iconic, many may not know that they also have an alternate logo that has been used since 2002.
The current alternate logo features a fierce panther head with its mouth wide open while its eyes stare intensely at opponents. The design was created by artist Robby Davis as part of an effort to give Georgia State more visual identity on campus and around town as well as for use on apparel items such as t-shirts, hats, and jackets worn by fans during games or other events related to GSU Athletics programs.
This particular version is actually quite different from previous versions which featured a less menacing-looking panther with its mouth closed but still staring intently forward. It’s clear that this new iteration was designed specifically for intimidation purposes – something that really resonates with Panther supporters who want nothing more than success both on the field/court & off!
The new look has become incredibly popular among GSU fans across all sports teams & alumni alike; so much so that even though there are several variations available now (including throwback designs), most people tend to gravitate towards this particular version when choosing apparel or accessories featuring any type of Panther imagery – making it truly “the face” associated with Georgia State Athletics today!
