Sharks Alternate Logo

Sports fans, rejoice! The LIU Sharks have a long and storied history of alternate logos that span decades. Each iteration has been unique and reflective of the team's spirit, from the original logo to the modern-day version. In this blog post, we'll look at some classic designs and explore how they evolved.

The first logo for the LIU Sharks was created in 1971 as part of their inaugural season in Division I athletics. It featured an aggressive shark with sharp teeth set against a white background with blue trimming around it – colors that remain today as part of their official branding scheme. This design remained unchanged until 1993 when it was slightly modified to include more detail, such as scales along its body, while also making its eyes more prominent than before; however, overall shape stayed largely intact throughout this period until 2003, when another update saw further refinement on details like fins and gills being added for greater realism – something which would become even more evident in later iterations down the line too!

In 2014, yet another redesign took place with significant changes being made, including removing most if not all traces from previous versions (including removal or modification on elements like eyes) while adding new features such as shading along edges, giving off the impression that the creature is swimming through the water instead just standing there motionless - an effect which can be seen both during day/night games alike due its contrasting colors used within the image itself (i e black/white). Finally, last year marked the latest update where the head became much larger compared to the rest of the body, resulting in increased visibility from afar, plus a few other minor tweaks here that give the whole thing a cleaner appearance overall without taking away any essence behind original design concept either - something many teams struggle maintain across multiple generations’ worth artwork but thankfully hasn't been the case so far least regarding our beloved sharks!
