Bulldogs Alternate Logo
The Alabama A&M Bulldogs have a long and proud history that dates back to the late 19th century. The school's logo has gone through many iterations over the years, with each one reflecting changes in style and design trends. From the classic bulldog silhouette of its early days to more modern designs featuring bold colors, Alabama A&M’s alternate logos offer an interesting look at how its brand identity has evolved over time.
The earliest known version of the Bulldogs' logo was from 1895 when they were known as “the Normalites” before becoming “the Bull Dogs” in 1897. This original design featured a snarling bulldog wearing a collar with two stars on it – likely representing North Carolina State University (NCSU) where some of its founders had attended college prior to establishing what would become Alabama A&M University (AAMU). It wasn't until 1929 that we see their first use of an actual bulldog head silhouette which became synonymous with this era for decades afterward; however, by 1956 they began using more modernized versions featuring different shapes and brighter colors such as orange or yellow instead of just red-brown tones like those used previously.
In recent years there have been several variations on these traditional designs including adding additional elements like paw prints or incorporating other symbols associated with athletics such as crossed bats for baseball teams or basketball nets for hoops squads - all while maintaining strong links back to their roots by keeping certain aspects intact like having either one star visible somewhere within any given logo iteration regardless if it is placed inside/outside/above/below etc. These newer versions are indicative not only of how far technology can take us but also shows how much thought goes into creating something timeless yet still relevant enough so that people recognize who you represent even if your team name isn't mentioned directly! Overall these various logos provide insight into both past & present day branding strategies employed by organizations across industries worldwide - proving once again why good graphic design truly matters!
