Yellow Jackets Alternate Logo
The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have been a symbol of excellence in college athletics for more than 100 years. Their iconic logo, featuring the famous Ramblin’ Wreck and Buzz, has become one of the most recognizable logos in all of the sports. However, there is also an alternate logo that few people know about – the GT “Grit-T” Logo. Georgia Tech first introduced this alternate logo during its 2009 football season as part of its rebranding efforts to create a new look for its program and to honor its past successes on the gridiron.
The Grit-T Logo consists primarily of two components: The interlocking letters “GT,” which stands for Georgia Tech, and underneath those letters is an outline resembling a yellow jacket with wings spread wide open ready to take flight - representing both strength and determination that are synonymous with being part of this great university's athletic program. Additionally, this design includes several unique features such as subtle shading around each letter which gives it depth while still maintaining its boldness; plus, small details like stars within each wingtip further emphasize its intensity while providing visual interest at every angle you view it from!
Since then, many other universities across America have adopted similar designs utilizing different colors or symbols, but none quite match up to what makes our original Grit-T Logo so special - It stands out amongst others because not only does it represent our school spirit but also embodies everything we strive towards here at GA TECH: courage & dedication through hard work no matter how tough things may get! We are proud supporters who wear these colors proudly, knowing they signify something greater than just another team mascot. They embody perseverance & resilience when times seem uncertain...and together, we will continue marching forward into whatever lies ahead!
