Wolverines Alternate Logo
The Michigan Wolverines alternate logo is a proud part of the school’s history. It has been used to represent the team since its inception in 1867, and it has evolved over time to become an iconic symbol for fans across the country. The current version of this logo features a block “M” with two crossed axes, which were originally designed by legendary coach Fielding Yost in 1925. This design was meant to capture the spirit and strength of Michigan football teams at that time, as well as their willingness to fight through tough times on their way toward victory.
Since then, there have been many variations on this classic design including adding different colors or symbols such as stars or stripes around it or changing up elements like font size and weight within it itself. In recent years some new designs have come out featuring more modern takes on this classic look such as incorporating maize into it instead of just blue and yellow accents along with bolder fonts being used for lettering inside the “M” shape itself rather than traditional serif typefaces that had previously been utilized throughout its history priorly.
No matter what changes are made through each iteration still retains some core aspects from previous versions while also making something unique all its own at the same exact same time - thus ensuring that no matter when you see someone wearing one of these logos they will always know exactly who they are representing: The University Of Michigans very own Wolverine Football Team!
