Hawkeyes Alternate Logo
The Iowa Hawkeyes have a long and colorful history when it comes to alternate logos. The school has used various versions of the logo since the late 1800s, with some designs becoming iconic symbols for generations of fans. From classic black-and-gold designs to modern takes on traditional motifs, each version has its own unique story behind it.
One particular design that is popular among fans was created in 1977 by artist Stan Galli and features an interlocking ‘I’ and ‘H’ surrounded by a yellow circle with black trimming around the edges. This logo quickly became one of the most widely recognized symbols associated with Iowa Hawkeye athletics due to its simplicity yet boldness in capturing what makes this program so special – unity, strength, pride, and tradition all rolled into one image!
In recent years there have been other variations on this theme such as incorporating different colors or adding additional elements like text or graphics within the design itself but no matter which version is chosen they are all united under one common thread - representing everything that makes up being an Iowa Hawkeye fan! Whether you wear your loyalty proudly displayed across your chest or simply show off your team spirit through subtle nods here & there; having these various alternate logos allows us all to express our individual connection in our own way while still staying true to who we are as supporters - loyal & proud members of Hawk Nation!
