Falcons Alternate Logo
The Bowling Green Falcons are one of the most storied NCAA teams in the nation, and their alternate logo history is no exception. Over the years, they have had several iconic logos that represent their rich history and tradition. From a fierce falcon to a traditional shield design, these logos have been used for special occasions such as bowl games or uniforms for specific sports teams. Let's take a look back at some of these past designs!
The first alternate logo was created in 1965 when Bowling Green became an independent school after leaving its conference affiliation with Mid-American Conference (MAC). This version featured a black outline of an eagle head with yellow eyes looking up towards two crossed swords behind it on top of red wings spread out wide like those found on many collegiate mascots today. The words “Bowling Green” were written underneath this design in white font against a blue background which has remained consistent throughout all subsequent versions since then too!
Next came another variation from 1976 featuring just an eagle head outlined again but this time with green eyes instead plus two crossed swords above it still set atop red wings; however now there were also three stars surrounding them representing each year spent playing football as part MAC before becoming independent once more (1965-1967). Lastly, we saw yet another redesign come about during the 1984 season where they kept the same basic elements but altered colors slightly by changing eye color from green to orange while making star patterns lighter shade than the rest so that only edges could be seen clearly against dark background giving off impression being inside circle shape around entire thing thus creating unique look never seen before nor since then either!
