Huskies Alternate Logo
The Washington Huskies have a long and storied history with their alternate logos. The first logo, which was introduced in 1931, featured an image of a husky dog wearing a red sweater with the words "Washington" written across it. This logo remained unchanged until 1964 when it was replaced by the current version featuring two huskies facing each other while holding up crossed swords. This design has been used ever since and is still seen on many of the team's jerseys today.
In 2009, the university unveiled another alternate logo to commemorate its 100th anniversary as an athletic program at the UW Seattle campus. It featured two different images: one that showed off traditional Native American artistry along with an updated version of the classic double-huskie emblem from 1964 but now set against a black background instead of white or grey like before. Both designs were meant to represent both past and present aspects associated with being part of this great school's legacy over time - something that continues to be celebrated even today!
Today there are several versions for fans who want more than just one look for their favorite team’s apparel – including those inspired by nature such as trees or mountains; others feature unique patterns like stripes or polka dots; some embrace modern takes on classic elements like using neon colors in place of old school ones; while others include nods towards popular culture through cartoon characters or movie references (like Star Wars). No matter what type you prefer though they all share one thing: they show off how proud everyone is about being part fan base no matter where life may take them!
