Pirates Wordmark Logo

The Seton Hall Pirates wordmark logo is one of the most recognizable logos in college athletics. It has been around since 1969 and has gone through many minor changes over the years, but it still maintains its original look and feel. The logo features a pirate skull with crossed swords underneath and the words “Seton Hall” written across it in bold letters. This iconic image is an important part of Seton Hall's history as well as its current identity.

The original design for this logo was created by Richard Siegelman, who also designed several other logos for various colleges across America at that time including Rutgers University's Scarlet Knight mascot headgear design which he had created earlier that same year (1969). He drew inspiration from traditional pirate symbols such as skulls, crossed swords, patches on eye-patches, etc., to create what would become known today as 'the' official wordmark symbol of Seton Hall Athletics - a unique combination of both modern elements with old-world charm!

Over time additional colors have been added to enhance the overall look but otherwise not much else has changed about this classic piece of artwork since its debut nearly fifty years ago now; making it one of longest-standing collegiate sports team brand images ever made! To this day fans proudly sport their Pirate gear featuring this timeless emblem wherever they go – befittingly representing their beloved school’s spirit & pride each step along the way!
