Rams Alternate Logo
The Colorado State Rams have a long and storied history in college athletics, and their alternate logo is no exception. The school’s iconic ram head has been featured on the uniforms of various teams since the late 1960s, but it wasn’t until recently that an official alternate logo was created to represent the university.
In 2018, Colorado State unveiled its first-ever alternative logo for its athletic programs. The design features a more modern take on the classic ram head with bolder lines and sharper angles to create a stronger presence for CSU Athletics. This new look also includes two additional elements – an interlocking “C” and “S” representing Colorado State University – as well as three stars inspired by flags from around the world that symbolize unity among all Ram fans everywhere.
Since then, this updated version of CSU's beloved mascot has become increasingly popular amongst students, alumni, faculty members - even local businesses who proudly display it throughout Fort Collins! It can be found just about anywhere you look; from t-shirts at sporting events or apparel stores downtown to banners hanging inside Moby Arena or Hughes Stadium during football games - there's no mistaking what team we're supporting when we see this fierce-looking creature adorning our gear!
Overall though? We think it looks pretty darn cool (no pun intended). With such strong symbolism behind each element of this design coupled with how much pride people have in wearing/displaying these colors & logos? It's easy to see why folks are so passionate about being part of something bigger than themselves here at CSU...Go Rams!!
