Horned Frogs Primary Logo
The TCU Horned Frogs' primary logo has been a staple of the university since its inception in 1873. The original design was created by Dr. Addison E. Clark, who served as the school’s first president and designed the emblem to represent “the spirit of progress” that he wanted for TCU students and alumni alike. The iconic logo features an American horned frog with two crossed swords behind it, which symbolizes strength and courage in battle - qualities that all members of the TCU community should strive for throughout their lives.
Over time, this classic image has become synonymous with Texas Christian University (TCU) itself; it appears on everything from apparel to banners at sporting events across campus grounds each year! In addition to its traditional look, several variations have been made over time including changing colors or adding elements such as flames around the horns or stars above them – all while keeping true to Dr. Clark's original vision!
Today, more than 140 years later after being first introduced back then – The Horned Frog remains a powerful part of both present-day culture at Texas Christian University as well as one deeply rooted in a history too! It is not only seen everywhere around campus but also serves as an important reminder about what values we should uphold here: Strength & Courage no matter what life throws our way - Go Frogs!!
