Islanders Wordmark Logo

The Texas A&M–Corpus Christi Islanders are a proud member of the NCAA Division I and have been since their inception in 2000. Over the years, they have developed a solid fan base and an impressive athletics program. As part of that success, they've had several iterations of their wordmark logo over the years, which has become synonymous with Islander pride.

In 2003, Texas A&M–Corpus Christi unveiled its first official wordmark logo featuring “Islanders” written in bold blue lettering above “Texas A&M- Corpus Christi” written in smaller white text below it with a navy blue background to tie everything together nicely. This was used for four seasons until 2007 when it underwent its first significant redesign as part of an overall rebranding effort by the university athletic department at that time. The new mark featured brighter colors (blue and orange) and more modern typography, giving off more energy than before while still keeping true to its original roots from 2003-2007 design-wise.

Since then, there have been two other minor tweaks made to this look – one coming before the 2012 season, where they dropped ‘Texas’ from underneath Islanders, and another one just last year, when some slight adjustments were made on how each letter is shaped within both words respectively but otherwise remained essentially unchanged up until now! It's safe to say that this particular version will stick around for quite some time, given how well-liked it is among fans across all sports teams affiliated under the TAMUCC umbrella - making sure everyone knows who we are no matter what game or event we're playing/attending!
