Explorers Alternate Logo
The La Salle Explorers have been around since the early 1900s and have evolved over time to become one of the most successful college basketball programs in history. As such, its logo has seen a few changes throughout its long history.
The original logo for the team was created in 1924 and featured an image of a sailing ship on top of a shield with two crossed swords beneath it. This design remained largely unchanged until 1936 when they changed it to feature an eagle instead of a sailing ship above the shield with two crossed swords still present below it.
In 1967, La Salle decided to switch things up again by introducing their first alternate logo featuring just an eagle head atop three stars and no other symbols or images included in this version at all. This design would remain as part of their official logos until 1997 when they introduced another new alternate logo that featured both an eagle head along with “LS” initials inside what appeared to be Roman columns flanking either side which many people believed represented both strength and stability for this proud program at that time period within college basketball circles across America.
In 2013, La Salle unveiled yet another new look which saw them go back towards more traditional designs while also modernizing certain aspects as well like adding colors such as navy blue into play alongside classic elements like gold trimming around each element contained within these newer versions too - making sure fans could recognize who is being represented even if there were slight variations between older iterations from years prior.
All-in-all, The LaSalle Explorers' logos are steeped in tradition while also allowing some room for creativity too; something that makes them stand out amongst other collegiate sports teams today!
