Musketeers Alternate Logo

The Xavier Musketeers have had a long and storied history with their alternate logos. Since the mid-1990s, the team has used various designs to represent them in different ways on apparel and merchandise. The first logo was introduced in 1995 as part of an effort to modernize the school's image. It featured a musketeer holding a sword, along with XAVIER written across it horizontally. This logo quickly became popular among students and alumni alike, representing not only their school but also its values of strength, courage, loyalty, and honor that are embodied by its mascot –the Musketeer!

In 2007 Xavier unveiled another version of their alternate logo which featured two swords crossed over each other instead of just one like before; this symbolized unity amongst all members within the university community while still maintaining strong ties to tradition through the use of similar colors found on previous versions (black & gold). The most recent update came in 2015 when they changed up things again by adding wings behind either side for additional symbolism -this time emphasizing freedom as well as resilience despite any obstacles faced!
