Cougars Alternate Logo
The BYU Cougars have a long and proud history of success in the NCAA, and that includes their iconic logos. Over the years, they have used several alternate logos to help represent their brand and show off their unique identity. From classic designs to modern takes on traditional symbols, these alternate logos give fans something new to look forward to each season. In this blog post, we’ll take a look at some of the most memorable BYU Cougars' alternate logo histories!
One of the earliest examples is from 1994 when BYU unveiled an updated version of its primary logo featuring two cougar heads with interlocking “Y”s between them – which has become one of its most recognizable symbols today. This design was also seen on helmets during home games as well as other apparel items throughout campus life.
Another popular design came in 2001 when they released an all-white version with just one cougar head instead – often referred to as “the whiteout” by fans who loved it so much that many still wear it today! The next year saw another change: a blue-and-white shield logo featuring two crossed swords behind three stars representing Utah's state flag colors (blue for loyalty & faithfulness). This particular emblem became very popular among students who proudly sported it around campus or even painted it onto walls outside buildings where classes were held every day!
The latest iteration came out in 2009 - this time using red & black colors along with four different icons: A mountain lion paw print symbolizing strength; An arrowhead signifying courage; A "Y" for unity; And finally an American flag honoring our country's freedom - all combined together into what looks like one powerful emblematic statement about what being part Of Brigham Young University stands for...no matter how you interpret it personally or collectively!
As you can see, there are plenty of great options if you're looking for some alternative ways To express your support For The Cougars without having To use only Their Primary Logo Every Time Out On Game Day Or Any Other Occasion Where Representation Matters Most! Whether It Be Through Classic Designs That Have Stood the Test Of Time Or Modern Takes On Traditional Symbols That Are Sure To Please Even Die-Hard Fans Everywhere...BYU Has Something For Everyone When It Comes Down Showing Off Your True Colors With Pride!!!
