Tennessee Titans: the flaming ball is gone

It was replaced by a white T inside a Titans blue circle, with white and red accents and three white stars. The stars are the tell. They come from the Tennessee flag, where they stand for the state’s three grand divisions, and the team describes them as representing all corners of Tennessee rather than Nashville alone. That is a deliberate widening of who the mark is addressed to.
The new mark sits on both sides of a white helmet with a white facemask and a stripe across the crown. Bud Adams announced the Titans name on 14 November 1998, and the logo was unveiled at Centennial Park in Nashville on 22 December that year. It went into on-field use for the 1999 season and served as the primary mark through 2025, when the flaming thumbtack nickname came from and stuck. That original design was a sword-like T with a comet trail of flame, set in a circular field, with three stars.

That is worth noting because the franchise has a history of total replacement. As with the Houston Oilers in 1960, the identity was an oil derrick, referencing the Texas petroleum industry. Los Angeles Rams: a refresh that settles an old argument
The Rams went the other way, editing rather than replacing. Their 2026 brand refresh simplifies the primary mark to a single color, replacing a three-color logo, and sharpens the horn’s point. The wordmark is new too, italicized, with a horn sweeping out from the capital R and running underneath the name.
Longtime followers will notice the color decision first. The horn has been on that helmet since 1948
