Owls Alternate Logo

The Florida Atlantic Owls have a long and distinguished history of using alternate logos to represent the university's athletic teams. The use of these logos dates back to the early 1990s when the school first began its transition from Division II to Division I-A (now FBS). Since then, numerous designs have been used by FAU athletics in order to create unique branding for each sport.

In 2000, an updated version of their original logo was unveiled as part of a rebranding effort that featured a more modern look with bolder colors and sharper lines. This design remained in place until 2018 when it was replaced with an even more dynamic logo featuring two owls facing each other while perched atop an "F" shaped shield - symbolizing both strength and unity within Florida Atlantic University Athletics.

This new design has become synonymous with FAU sports over recent years; however, there are many other alternative designs that have also been utilized throughout its histories such as A blue & white owl holding onto a basketball or football; An orange & black owl wearing sunglasses; A green & yellow owl flying through palm trees and much more! All these variations help give fans something new every season while still representing FAU’s spirit at all times!
