The Iowa Hawkeyes are the athletic team of the University of Iowa, located in Iowa City. The Hawkeyes have a long and storied history with many accomplishments over the years. One important part of this history is their wordmark logo, which has been used for decades to represent their school spirit and pride. The first version was introduced in 1972 as an update from previous designs that had been used since at least 1936.
