Tigers Alternate Logo
The Auburn Tigers have a storied history of logos and alternate logos that span decades. From the roaring tiger to the script “A”, each logo has been carefully crafted to represent the spirit of Auburn University. The first official logo was used in 1954 and featured an orange-and-blue shield with a white tiger head inside it. This iconic image became known as "the Tiger Shield" and is still used today on various merchandise items such as t-shirts, hats, mugs, etc.
In 2007, Auburn unveiled its new secondary logo which was designed by Nike's Jordan Brand division: an interlocking AU design featuring orange lettering against a navy blue background with two stripes at either end - one navy blue stripe above representing pride and honor while below lies another stripe in burnt orange symbolizing courage and passion for success on the field or court. This modern take on traditional school colors quickly gained popularity among fans due to its simplicity yet striking look when displayed alongside other team apparel or gear from Nike's Jordan Brand lineup.
Finally, in 2018, a third alternate logo made its debut during football season; this time featuring just an outline of Aubie (the university mascot) set against a yellow backdrop surrounded by four stars – three white ones signifying excellence while one gold star stands out amidst them all indicating championship level performance expected from every member within any given squad at Auburn University. It serves both as an homage to past successes achieved over years gone by but also encourages future generations of athletes hoping for more trophies down the road ahead.
