Mavericks Alternate Logo
The University of Texas at Arlington Mavericks have a long and storied history when it comes to their logo. The first iteration of the UT Arlington Mavericks logo was introduced in 1976, and featured an orange circle with a black outline, containing two white “U”s that were connected by a blue line. This design remained relatively unchanged until 1994 when the school changed its mascot from the Rebels to the Mavericks. At this time, they also updated their logo slightly; replacing one of the “U”s with an image of a horse head facing leftward toward its tail - symbolizing strength and determination as well as paying homage to UTA's western heritage.
In 2009, UTA unveiled yet another version of their alternate logos which included three different designs: one featuring just text (UTA), another featuring both text plus an image (the word 'Mavericks' accompanied by what appears to be either horns or antlers), and lastly one that simply reads 'Go Mavs'. All three versions feature bold colors such as navy blue, red & white; making them instantly recognizable among fans & alumni alike!
Finally, in 2018, UT Arlington introduced its most recent update - adding even more vibrancy into each design while still retaining some elements from previous iterations like font style & color scheme choices. These new logos are now used across all sports teams at UTA including basketball games where they appear on t-shirts worn by players during pre-game warmups or on banners throughout college arenas nationwide during NCAA tournaments! With these latest updates, it is clear that UTA is dedicated not only to keeping up with modern trends but also honoring past traditions through thoughtful branding decisions - ensuring continued success for many years ahead!
