Mountain Hawks Alternate Logo

The Lehigh Mountain Hawks are a member of the NCAA Division I and have been since their inception in 1883. As one of the most storied programs in college sports, they have had many logos throughout their history. In recent years, they have unveiled an alternate logo that has become popular with fans and alumni alike.

The first iteration of this alternate logo was introduced back in 2013 as part of a rebranding effort by the university’s athletic department to update its look for modern times while still maintaining its traditional roots. It featured an updated version of “the Hawk” mascot which had been used since 1947 but with some minor tweaks such as more vibrant colors and sharper details on each feather to give it a more life-like quality. The overall look is much bolder than previous versions yet still retains enough classic elements to make it recognizable at first glance as being associated with Lehigh University Athletics.

This new design proved so successful that when it came time for another redesign two years later, only minor adjustments were made such as smoothing out certain lines or adding additional shading here or there; nothing drastic enough to take away from what already worked so well before. Since then, this particular logo has remained largely unchanged aside from some slight alterations over time like color modifications or font size changes; all intended simply to keep things fresh without straying too far away from what people know & love about the original design.

All-in-all, this latest variation on “the Hawk” is perhaps one best example of how updating something old can result in something even better - especially when done right! Not only does provide a great visual representation of school spirit & pride but also serves as a reminder of why we continually support our beloved Mountain Hawks year after year!
