Bulldogs Alternate Logo

The Gonzaga Bulldogs have had a long and storied history in the NCAA. From their first appearance in the tournament back in 1995 to their current status as one of college basketball's premier programs, they've been an integral part of college sports for decades. But what many may not know is that throughout this time, the Bulldogs have also had several alternate logos that represent different eras and moments within their program's history.

The earliest logo was introduced during Gonzaga’s first season as a member of Division I (1995-96). It featured a bulldog wearing a crown with “Gonzaga University” written underneath it on either side. This logo lasted until 1999 when it was replaced by another version that kept similar elements but featured more detailed artwork and coloring around the dog itself.

In 2002, yet another new look emerged featuring an updated bulldog head surrounded by stars representing each year since its founding (1887) along with “Go Zags!” written across its chest area - this design would last until 2011 when they unveiled yet another redesign featuring two intertwined Gs inside a shield shape to signify unity among players & fans alike while still maintaining traditional school colors like red & blue accents throughout various parts of it all together making up one cohesive unit symbolizing strength through solidarity between everyone involved at GU whether alumni or student body alike no matter who you are or where you come from we all belong here together under our beloved mascot/logo combination!.

The most recent iteration came out just before last season started back in 2017; keeping close ties to previous designs but adding some modern flair such as bolder lines around edges plus larger typeface font sizes for better visibility even from far away distances so people can easily recognize us wherever we go be proud show your support proudly wear these colors let everyone know who represents them best: THE BULLDOGS OF GONZAGA UNIVERSITY!
