Wildcats Alternate Logo
The New Hampshire Wildcats are a proud member of the NCAA Division I and have been for many years. Over that time, they've also had some memorable moments on and off the field. One thing that has remained consistent throughout their history is their alternate logo - which has changed over the years but remains an iconic symbol of Wildcat pride.
The first version was introduced in 1992 when UNH adopted a new visual identity system to replace its previous one from 1987 to 1991. This original design featured a white paw print with black outlines inside an orange circle with “UNH” written beneath it in blue lettering – this logo remains popular today!
In 2004, UNH unveiled another version of its alternate logo – this time featuring two interlocking paws (one orange and one white) set against a navy blue background with “New Hampshire” written above them in bold font style. The intention behind this design was to create something more modern yet timeless simultaneously, something fans could recognize immediately upon seeing it regardless of whether they were old or new supporters alike!
In 2012, UNH once again updated its look by introducing what is now known as their current alternate logo: A wildcat head silhouette made up entirely out of small stars within an outline shape resembling both mountains & waves - all done using various shades/tones of grey & navy blues together creating unique aesthetic overall!
Through these three iterations over nearly three decades now, we can see how much thought goes into every single change made when it comes down to maintaining continuity while also keeping things fresh enough so everyone involved feels like partaking in something special each season as we advance year after year without fail… no matter who wins or loses out there on those fields across America come game day(s).
