Grizzlies Alternate Logo
The Montana Grizzlies are one of the most storied college football programs in the country, with a long and proud history. As such, they have had many different logos over the years. Today we’re going to take a look at some of their alternate logo designs throughout their history.
The first iteration of an alternate logo was introduced in 1995 when Nike designed a new helmet for them featuring an abstract bear head and paw print design on either side. This became known as “the claw” and was used until 1999 when it was replaced by another bear-head design that featured more detail than its predecessor. In 2002, this second version received slight modifications with additional shading added to give it more depth before being retired altogether in 2004 due to declining popularity amongst fans and players alike who preferred simpler designs instead.
In 2006, Montana unveiled yet another new logo which kept much of the same elements from previous iterations but incorporated bolder colors along with sharper lines that gave off a modern feel while still maintaining traditional aspects like including both paws on either side just like before (this time without claws). This version proved popular enough among supporters that it stayed around until 2012 when they decided to switch things up once again by introducing what is now referred to as “the shield” – featuring two crossed swords inside an oval shape surrounded by stars representing each state within America's borders where grizzlies can be found living today! Finally, 6 years later 2018 saw yet another redesign this time taking inspiration from Native American culture depicting three feathers behind two mountains forming what looks almost like wings symbolizing strength & courage which has become synonymous with Montana Grizzly Football ever since then!
Overall there have been several changes made over decades but no matter how many times these logos get switched out or tweaked one thing remains constant: The spirit & pride associated with being part of something special - Go Griz!
