Bruins Alternate Logo

For college sports fans, the Belmont Bruins are a well-known name. The university is located in Nashville, Tennessee, and has been around since 1890. As with most universities, the Belmont Bruins have an alternate logo that they use on occasion to represent their team spirit. In this blog post, we will take a look at the history of Belmont's alternate logos and how they evolved over time.

The earliest version of Bruin’s alternate logo was first used during the 1950s when it featured two crossed swords behind a shield with “Belmont” written across it in bold lettering. This design remained relatively unchanged until 1982 when it was replaced by an updated version featuring three stars above “Belmont” and two swords below it instead of one sword as seen before 1982.
In 1995, another major change came about for Belmont's alternative logo as now there were four stars above "Belmon"t alongside what appeared to be either flames or rays coming from them which gave off more energy than before making this new symbol much more eye-catching than its predecessors.

Additionally, in 2015, the school decided to go back to its roots by using only two swords again but added some color variations including gold, blue & white. This allowed for some creativity while still keeping within the tradition. These colors also matched up nicely with other elements found throughout campus such as buildings & statues so that everything could remain cohesive visually speaking.

Finally, just last year (2020) saw yet another update where all previous designs were combined into one single emblem which included both crossed swords along with four golden stars positioned above the "BELMONT" text - creating an even stronger visual impact overall! It's clear that these changes reflect not only changes within collegiate athletics but also those happening on the campus itself - highlighting how important sports can be towards unifying people together under similar goals or values regardless of whether you're playing/coaching/or simply cheering from home!
