Bluejays Wordmark Logo

The Creighton Bluejays have been using the same wordmark logo for over 30 years. The original design was created in 1988 by the late graphic designer, Robert Miles Parker, who also designed logos for other schools such as Stanford and Vanderbilt. The current version of this distinctive logo features a blue jay with its wings spread wide and its head turned to one side, perched atop a large “C” that is outlined in white lettering. This classic design has become an iconic symbol of both school pride and athletic excellence at Creighton University.

The original concept behind this logo was to create something that could be easily identified with both athletics teams as well as academics at Creighton University; something timeless yet modern enough to last into future generations of students, faculty members, alumni, and fans alike. Parker's vision has certainly come true: it is now impossible to think about any sport or activity associated with the university without immediately picturing the beloved mascot perched atop his “C” lettering!

Over time there have been slight modifications made here and there but overall very little change from when it first debuted back in 1988 – making it one of today's most recognizable college sports logos around! It can be seen on everything from t-shirts & hats all way up through stadium signage & banners - showing just how much love & respect people have for their beloved Bluejay mascot!
