Wolfpack Wordmark Logo

The North Carolina State Wolfpack wordmark logo has been a powerful symbol of pride and spirit for the university since its debut in 1963. The original design was created by NC State alumnus Robert Purvis, who wanted to create something that would represent the strength and unity of the student body. Since then, it has become an iconic representation of NC State’s commitment to excellence in academics and athletics.

The current version of the logo features a fierce wolf head with red eyes set against a white background surrounded by two circular bands: blue on top and red on the bottom with “NCSU” written inside them. This simple yet bold design captures all that is great about being part of this amazing school while paying homage to its long history as one of America's premier universities. It is no wonder why so many students proudly wear their Wolfpack gear!
