Bobcats Wordmark Logo

The Texas State Bobcats have a long and proud history in NCAA sports, and their iconic wordmark logo has been with them since the very beginning. The original logo was created in 1961 when the school joined the Southland Conference, and it featured an orange-and-blue shield with a white “T” inside. This design stayed largely unchanged for over 30 years until 1993 when it was replaced by the current version of the wordmark logo.

The new design features two large letters – T (for Texas) and S (for State). These are arranged to form an angular shape that resembles both a bobcat pawprint as well as an arrow pointing forward – symbolizing progress toward success on all levels of competition. The colors used are also symbolic: blue represents loyalty while orange stands for strength & courage; together they represent unity among fans & players alike!

Over time this classic look has become synonymous with Bobcat's athletics; whether you’re watching football or basketball games at Strahan Stadium or cheering on your favorite team from afar - you know exactly who they are just by looking at their wordmark logo!
