Bulldogs Wordmark Logo

The Gonzaga Bulldogs have a long and storied history in NCAA basketball, and their iconic wordmark logo has been an integral part of that story. The original version of the logo was created by artist Bill Womack in 1991 for the school's first season as a Division I program.

Since then, there have been several versions of the Gonzaga Bulldogs’ wordmark logo over time. In 1997, they updated it to include “Gonzaga University” below the bulldog head graphic with an italicized font style along with two stars above it symbolizing excellence on both sides of its mission: academics and athletics. This version is still used today but has seen some minor tweaks since its introduction such as changing from black-and-white to full color or adding additional elements like paws underneath each lettering for more emphasis when needed.
