The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Blazers have a long and storied history that has been proudly represented by their iconic wordmark logo. The UAB Blazers’ wordmark logo was first introduced to the public during the school's inaugural season as an NCAA Division I-A program back in 1996. The original design featured two large block letters – ‘U' and 'B' – with an italicized font used for both words to create a sense of movement and energy.
