Bulldogs Wordmark Logo

The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs have a long and storied history that dates back over 100 years. The school was established in 1894 as the Industrial Institute and College of Louisiana, but it wasn't until 1923 that the Bulldogs adopted their current name. Since then, they've become one of the most successful programs in college football with four conference championships and seven bowl game appearances to their credit.

Throughout this time period, there have been several iterations of the Bulldog logo that have come to represent not only Louisiana Tech's athletic teams but also its student body at large. The earliest version was introduced in 1932 which featured a snarling bulldog wearing an old-fashioned leather helmet with two crossed swords behind him symbolizing strength and power - something that would remain consistent throughout all future designs as well.

In 1978, after nearly 50 years after its first introduction; the university decided to update its logo for modern times by replacing the traditional look with a more contemporary design featuring an aggressive-looking bulldog headset against a blue background along with white lettering spelling out "Louisiana Tech". This new look proved popular amongst students who felt it better represented their school spirit while still maintaining some familiarity from past versions due to similar features such as eyes/ears/mouth shape etc.

In 2012 however, another redesign occurred where various elements were tweaked once again including changing up colors (red & yellow) adding additional details like fur texture around the muzzle area plus other minor adjustments here and there so overall creating a much cleaner sleeker appearance than before thus giving us our current official Wordmark Logo we know today!

As you can see each iteration has held onto core values such as strength courage loyalty which are embodied by the iconic Bulldog mascot itself making sure no matter what changes may occur these ideals will never be forgotten!
