Golden Hurricanes Primary Logo
The Tulsa Golden Hurricane primary logo is an iconic symbol of the university’s athletic program. It has been around since the school first adopted a mascot in 1941, and it has gone through several iterations over its long history. The original design featured a blue tornado with two crossed swords underneath, which was meant to represent strength and courage on the field of play. Over time, this logo evolved into what we know today as “the TU Logo” – a yellow-and-black shield featuring an interlocking “TU” inside of it. This new design was intended to be more modern and appealing than previous versions while still keeping true to Tulsa's heritage as one of Oklahoma's oldest universities.
In recent years, there have been some minor changes made to enhance the look and feel of this beloved symbol without completely altering its classic form or meaning behind it; for example, in 2011 they added gold accents along with black outlining around certain sections within their shield shape so that when seen from afar there would be no doubt about who you were looking at! Additionally, they also dropped any reference whatsoever regarding swords or tornados altogether – making sure only those associated directly with University could recognize their brand identity quickly & easily by simply glancing at their primary logo mark itself!
Today, the Tulsa Golden Hurricane Primary Logo remains largely unchanged from its original incarnation back in 1941. It continues to serve not just as an emblem for athletics but also stands out proudly among other collegiate logos nationwide due to its unique combination of colors, shape, and font used throughout. Though subtle adjustments may continue being made over time -this timeless piece will forever remain unmistakably linked both historically & spiritually to all past present future members affiliated with the University of Tulsa!
