Redhawks Primary Logo

The Miami (Ohio) Redhawks are proud members of the NCAA and have been for many years. The team has had several primary logos throughout its history, but two, in particular, stand out as iconic representations of the university.

The first logo was unveiled in 1994 when Miami joined the Mid-American Conference. It featured a red hawk head with “Miami” written across it, along with an outline of Ohio state and “Redhawks” underneath it all. This logo served as their main emblem until 2007 when they introduced their current one which features a more modernized version of that same hawk head design set against an orange background with white accents around it that reads "MIA" on top and "OHIO" at the bottom to represent both parts of its name - Miami University located in Oxford, Ohio - while also incorporating elements from their previous logo such as the outline representing Ohio state shape within this new design.

This newer look was created to help give them greater visibility nationally due to increased competition among college sports teams making sure they stood out from other universities by having something unique yet recognizable enough so fans could easily identify them whenever they saw or heard about this school competing against others during any given game or tournament.

The Redhawk's primary logo has become synonymous with success over time due mainly thanks not only because how well-designed but also how often seen everywhere whether be on merchandise like t-shirts hats jerseys etc., broadcasted television screens live sporting events campus buildings etc. All these factors combined makeup what makes up today's most recognized symbol for Miami (Ohio) University Athletics!
