Eagles Primary Logo

The Georgia Southern Eagles have a long and storied history in the NCAA, and their primary logo has been an integral part of that. The university’s first official logo was unveiled in 1981, featuring a bald eagle perched atop the school’s name. This original design remained largely unchanged until 1999 when it was updated to include more detail on both the eagle and its surroundings.

Since then, there have been several iterations of this classic logo with minor changes made each time to modernize it for current trends while still maintaining its core elements: an American bald eagle representing strength and courage; GSU has written across its chest; two stars signifying excellence; three feathers symbolizing faith, hope & love; as well as blue & white colors reflecting loyalty & integrity.

In 2008, Georgia Southern unveiled a new version of their primary logo which featured bolder lines around the edges of the bird along with sharper details throughout its body - giving it even more power than before! This fresh take on their traditional emblem quickly became popular amongst fans who appreciated how well-balanced yet powerful it looked compared to previous designs.

In 2020 they released yet another update that included slight alterations such as thicker wingspan lines plus lighter shades within certain areas like eyes or beak – all while keeping true to what makes this iconic image so recognizable among college sports fanatics everywhere!
