Ducks Primary Logo
The Oregon Ducks have had a long and storied history with their primary logo. The first iteration of the logo was created in 1947 by Walt Disney, who designed it for the University of Oregon’s football team. It featured an oval shape with a yellow duck perched on top wearing green and yellow feathers, which represented both school colors at that time. The duck also wore a black hat to represent the school’s mascot, Puddles the Duckling.
This original design lasted until 1994 when Nike founder Phil Knight commissioned graphic designer Dan Wieden to update it for modern times. Wieden changed up some aspects of the original design such as making Puddles more streamlined and giving him two webbed feet instead of one like before; he also added wings onto either side so that they could be used as part of motion graphics or animation sequences if desired at any given point in time (which has been done often). Finally, he made sure to keep all other elements intact while giving them minor tweaks here and there - including changing up font styles from blocky serif typefaces into sans-serif ones - so that everything looked cohesive yet still recognizable as belonging together under one umbrella concept: “Oregon Ducks Primary Logo."
Today this updated version is still being used by fans everywhere – whether it's printed onto t-shirts or stickers or appearing on TV screens during games – showing just how impactful this particular logo has been over decades-worth of changes within college sports teams across America! With its iconic color scheme & unique features combined together into one powerful image; it truly encapsulates what makes these athletes stand out amongst others year after year without fail!
