Dolphins Primary Logo
The Jacksonville Dolphins have a long and proud history that dates back to the late 19th century. The school's primary logo has gone through several iterations over the years, each one reflecting different eras of growth and success for this Florida college. While some elements remain constant throughout all versions, there are also subtle changes in color or design that help to symbolize important moments in time for this beloved institution.
The earliest version of the Jacksonville Dolphins' primary logo featured an orange circle with white trim around it and a navy blue dolphin leaping out from within it. This emblem was used until 1959 when they changed their colors to green and gold - which is still seen today! In 1961, they updated their logo once again by changing the shape of the circle into an oval while keeping all other aspects intact; however, due to copyright issues with another university’s mascot at that same time period (the University of Miami Hurricanes), they had no choice but switch back shortly after making these changes in 1963.
In 1965, yet another alteration was made as part of a larger rebranding effort: now featuring two dolphins swimming side-by-side inside an orange ring trimmed by white lines – similar to what we see today except without any shading or texture added into them as more recent logos do have! This lasted until 1979 when minor adjustments were made such as adding black outlines on both dolphins so as not to detract attention away from its main focal point: namely being those two friendly aquatic mammals swimming together happily forevermore…or at least until 1997 rolled around whereupon even further refinements took place including giving them three-dimensional characteristics along with shadowing effects beneath each one respectively which gave life-like qualities never before seen before then!
Today’s current iteration stays true to form its original concept while updating certain details here & there such as coloring schemes (which range between light blues/greens depending upon context) plus overall size dimensions too if necessary, but nevertheless remains recognizable regardless thanks largely due partly because everyone knows how iconic these creatures truly are worldwide, especially amongst people who hail from sunny Florida themselves!!
