Braves Primary Logo

The Bradley Braves have a long and storied history as one of the most successful college basketball teams in NCAA Division I. From their first season in 1909 to today, they have been an integral part of the college basketball landscape. As such, it is important to take a look back at their primary logo history and see how it has evolved over time.

The original Bradley Braves logo was introduced during the school's inaugural season in 1909 and featured a Native American head with feathers set against an orange background surrounded by black lettering that spelled out “Bradley” above “Braves” below. This design remained unchanged for several decades until 1966 when slight modifications were made to give it a more modern appeal while still keeping true to its original form: The Native American head was replaced with a profile view of Chief Black Hawk wearing his signature feathered war bonnet; The orange color scheme was switched up for red, white, blue & yellow; And finally, two crossed tomahawks were added beneath Chief Black Hawk which became known as "the Crossed Tomahawk Logo."

In 1983 yet another change came about when the university decided on its current primary logo - A fierce-looking Brave Warrior sporting traditional face paint standing atop two crossed tomahawks set against an all-red backdrop (with some white accents). Although this version had minor tweaks throughout subsequent years (such as changing from the block text font style used initially), this basic design remains largely unchanged today – making it one of the longest-running logos among NCAA Division I schools!

It is clear that through each iteration over time – whether subtle or drastic changes - there has always been something special about Bradley's Primary Logo History that resonates deeply within both alumni & fans alike: Prideful tradition combined with strong spirit & tenacity towards excellence!
