The Wisconsin Badgers are a college football team that has been around since 1889. The primary logo of the team has evolved over time, but its signature elements have remained consistent throughout its history. This essay will discuss the history and evolution of this iconic logo, from its inception to the present day.

The original Wisconsin Badgers logo was designed in 1948 by Art Evans and featured a cartoon badger wearing an old-fashioned leather helmet with two crossed white stripes on either side of it. It also had two black lines underneath the helmet representing whiskers as well as a red “W” for Wisconsin above it all – which still remains today! In 1965, they changed their colors from blue and yellow to cardinal red and white while keeping their beloved mascot intact; however, they made some minor changes such as adding stars inside each stripe on either side of the headgear along with giving more definition to both eyes making them look more realistic than before.
