Jackrabbits Primary Logo
As sports fans, we all know and love the iconic logos that represent our favorite teams. For South Dakota State Jackrabbits fans, the primary logo has become a source of pride and identity for their beloved team. But how did this iconic logo come to be? Let’s look at the history of South Dakota State Jackrabbits’ primary logo!
The original design was created in 1961 by Bob Whitehead, an art professor at SDSU from 1951 to 1967. The first version featured two rabbits facing each other with one paw raised in front of them – later versions would replace this image with a single rabbit standing upright on its hind legs. This classic design has been tweaked over time but still retains its core elements today: two ears pointing up high, whiskers curving around the face, and those bright eyes looking out into eternity!
In 2006, there were some minor changes made to give it more modern appeal, such as adding shading effects behind both rabbits and changing their fur color from grayish-brown to black-and-white patterning; however, these modifications didn't alter much else about its overall appearance or meaning behind it which is why many people continue using this same version even today when referring back fondly upon past years' successes or simply showing off school spirit during games/events held within Brookings campus grounds & beyond!
In 2014, another update was made where they added shadows beneath both animals while also making slight adjustments like shortening tail length so that everything fits better together aesthetically speaking - plus. Now, there's even an option available featuring just one rabbit instead. If you prefer something more straightforward yet recognizable enough, you instantly recognize what team you're rooting for without having any doubts whatsoever (which can sometimes happen when dealing with multiple variations).
So whether you've been following since day one or are just beginning your journey into becoming diehard fanatics yourselves - don't forget about all those memorable moments along the way, thanks primarily due to the recognition given through the use of timeless symbols representing everything stands proudly represents: GO JACKS!!
